Here is a great gift idea that is not only very inexpensive, it's also using recycled goods. I found this idea from youtube user, Pantala40 (Her name is Kerry). She always has great ideas. Here is my take on the fruit container.

Easter Cards

I have not been as busy with card making as I'd hope to be. I did make a few cards to send out for Easter though. Here they are!

Blah

What a dreary, yucky, rainy day here in Nashville. Although it was a perfect oppurtunity for me to craft the day away, I only finished one card and worked on a cople of other ones. Here is all I came up with today.

Michaels Haul

Here is a Michaels haul from today. I didn't pick up much since I really don't need anything. But so much was marked down on clearence it was hard to resist!

MIA

Wow! I have been MIA for quite sometime. That sure doesn't mean that I haven't been crafting. I have completed three scrapbook albums and a few cards since I last checked in. My goal is to get back to creating at least one thing a day. It is so easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of life. Sadly, as a momma, me time is not as often as I would like. However, I have been crafting with the kids and painting with them. They love art just as much as I do. I am very thankful for that : )

Etched Christmas Vase

I created this lovely vase I purchased at the dollar tree with vinyl and etching cream. I simply cut out snowflakes from the Winter Lace cartridge and a letter E from Plantin School book. I coated the etching cream with a couple of thick layers around my vinyl and left it on the vase for about 40 minutes. I then washed off the cream and had a quick and inexpensive gift. I can't wait to make more.

Snow men ornaments

I created my version of the snowman ornaments that are going around on youtube. I used a floor wax for the glue on the inside and a clear glitter. I placed pipe cleaners, black embellishments, orange card stock, and pom poms on the snowmen with hot glue. I LOVE the way they turned out. I can't wait to pass them out as gifts to all the small children in our family.

Handmade Bows

I watched a tutorial that Sara (Pink By Design) created using her Big Shot and Die for bows. I decided to attempt this on my own since I do not own either of those items. I simply cute a piece of 12X12 paper into 12 inch strips, then cut in half. I cut a slight angle at the end of the strips and then punched a hole on both sides of the strips with my Crop a dile. I folded the strips as directed and placed a brad in the middle. I loved the way the homemade bows turned out. I made a lot of them for all the presents under the tree.

Sweet Layout

I used the K & Company Carolyn Gavin paper stack, K & Co chipboard letters Brenda Walton, The Songbird cartridge for the flower stem, circle for flower is Plantin Schoolbook, and I used the I top for the brads in the center with coordinating paper.
